Episode Description

Explore the lives of the artists who created the best-known art in the world and changed painting forever. They would journey out to the countryside and paint what they saw, trying to best translate light and color--a fleeting moment--to canvas. Using short strokes, commas, and dots, they painted rapidly in order to capture a particular moment in time. We also meet Berthe Morisot, the first female member of the emerging movement, which would become known as Impressionism.
