Episode Description

Story of the courageous whistle-blower who brought national attention to safety conditions in the nuclear power industry. The daughter of a union man who learned to fight for her beliefs, Silkwood documented health and safety violations at the nuclear fuel processing plant where she worked and even gathered evidence that conditions there could lead to a nuclear catastrophe. Silkwood died in a car crash on her way to give a reporter documents that could potentially expose the company's wrongdoing.
