Episode Description

Story of a small-town Kansas boy who rose to the rank of lieutenant in World War II, where he was so severely wounded he had to spend two years in a body cast. He eventually entered politics at the state level, and worked his way up the ranks to the US Senate, and an unsuccessful bid for the White House.
