Story of the acclaimed author who wrote the novel The Godfather after years of feeling hopelessly trapped by society and poor education. We trace Puzo's roots back to his childhood in New York City's Hell's Kitchen, where his mother, an illiterate immigrant, fought hard to keep her family together. She gave Puzo the inspiration to create the character of Don Vito Corleone, the Godfather.
