Episode Description

The incredible story of the British doctor believed responsible for killing hundreds of his patients, mostly through intravenous drugs. In 1998, concerns by local undertakers and physicians spurred a quiet police inquiry into Shipman's high patient death rate, but poor investigative work turned up nothing suspicious. He was finally nabbed when he created a phony will that would have made him the beneficiary of one of his victims. Shipman hanged himself in jail in 2004.
