Portrait of the British star whose screen portrayal of Hannibal "the Cannibal" Lecter terrified audiences and cemented his status as one of the world's greatest actors. Hopkins wrestled with dyslexia as a child, and turned to acting as his escape--with great results. He's won an Oscar for his portrayal of Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs, Emmys for playing Adolf Hitler in The Bunker and Bruno Richard Hauptmann in The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case, and three BAFTAs for his work in film and television.
