Episode Description

We'll follow America's most promising young chef as he trains to represent the United States in the famed Bocuse d'Or, a highly prestigious, international culinary competition known as the "Olympics of Food". In the 22 year history of the competition no American chef has ever won the title. Chef James Kent from the famed NYC eatery "Eleven Madison Park" is determined to change that. We'll see James and his assistant train feverishly in a "test kitchen." The stakes are a matter of national pride and James will be mentored by an all-star line-up of iconic American master chefs. We'll get a rare peek into the kitchens of New York City's premiere restaurants as James is tested and challenged by the best in the business. Can he handle the creative pressure? It all culminates in Lyon, France during a two-day cooking showdown where James faces off against 22 other hopefuls, all vying for the most coveted title in the culinary arts. (Part 2 of 2.)
